At Ararat Ridge Zoo the pens are viewable from paved trails, but the Children's Zoo pathways are gravel. The carousel deck is flush with the floor and can secure manual wheelchairs, not motorized ones.

The exhibit entrance includes a deliberately loud flood scene with thunder and animal noises. To bypass it, enter Deck 1 by the elevator in the ground-level Gift Shop and turn left. There are no flashing or strobe lights inside the Ark.

Almost all videos and theaters are captioned. Braille books with the exhibit sign text are available on each of the three decks; ask Guest Services on each deck. ASL interpreters are scheduled for select programs on certain dates.
